Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier & Chefchaouen

Morocco, officially the Kingdom of Morocco, is a country in the Maghreb region of North Africa. It overlooks the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and has land borders with Algeria to the east, and the disputed territory of Western Sahara to the south. Morocco also claims the Spanish exclaves of Ceuta, Melilla and Peñón de Vélez de la Gomera, and several small Spanish-controlled islands off its coast. It has a population of roughly 37 million, the official and predominant religion is Islam, and the official languages are Arabic and Berber; French and the Moroccan dialect of Arabic are also widely spoken. Moroccan identity and culture is a mix of Arab, Berber, African and European cultures. Its capital is Rabat, while its largest city is Casablanca.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Arriving to Casablanca

Upon arrival and after checking in at the hotel, we proceed to Casablanca - a bustling metropolis and the largest city in Morocco. Enjoy an open schedule to explore the beauty of the city

DAY 2

Casablanca – Rabat – Tangier

Today we visit Hassan II mosque – one of the largest mosque in the world. Later we proceed to Rabat - capital of Morocco. It is known for landmarks that speak to its Islamic and French-colonial heritage. Upon arrival we enjoy Rabat city, in the orientation tour we see Royal Mosque, Hussan Tower - the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Mausoleum of Mohammed V - a masterpiece of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture, is the final resting place of three significant members of the royal family and a photo stop at Royal Palace - serves as the residence of Moroccan royalty, followed by a visit to the 12th-century Kasbah of the Udayas - the city’s oldest quarter, which was built during the Almohad dynasty. Further we proceed to Tangier - a Moroccan port on the Strait of Gibraltar, has been a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times.

DAY 3

Tangier – Chefchaochen – Tangier

Today we see Cap Spartan - where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean Sea. Later we walk through the lively Medina and Kasbah of Tangier - a former sultan’s palace that now houses the museum. Then we proceed to Chefchaouen - Morocco’s blue city. Upon arrival we walk through the magnificent town of Chefchaouen with its narrow streets and blue walls, Kasbah from where we see the beautiful view of the mountains and its main square - Outa Hammam.

DAY 4

Tangier – Algeciras – Costa Del Sol – Marbella

Today we embark on a ferry and proceed to Algeciras port- one of the largest port city in world and the largest urban area on the Bay of Gibraltar. Further we drive through world’s renowned tourist destination Costa del Sol – the southern coast of Spain known for its Mediterranean old town and beautiful beach resorts. Here we visit Marbella - A glamorous town on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol. Upon arrival we stroll around Avenida del mar boulevard to see the famous Salvador Dali sculptures - 10 bronze sculptures by the genius Salvador Dalí, followed by a free time to relax at the waterfront area.

DAY 5

Departure To Hometown

Today we proceed to the airport for the flight back home. Arrive home with pleasant memories.
